Butcher & the Boar is a James Beard nominated and award winning restaurant located in Minneapolis, MN. We tried to eat at this restaurant for literally a couple years. Their food is just mediocre salty bar type food. That was the best meal I have ever eaten!If the reservation starts at 5, I would have at least had the doors open 15 minutes prior - especially during the winter.

Oysters were the best we’ve ever had... a tad pricey for four of them. App and salad great! I didn't realize that the environment would be as loud as it was when booking dinner at Butcher & the Boar. this restaurant offers a fine selection of wines, beers, and beyond. In the bar area where we were sat, we had to nearly shout to hear our friends across the table. Great and friendly staff. Always great food and atmosphere.We have dined here often. Consider sharing plates so you do not feel wasteful of the beautiful animals. We were celebrating my son's birthday and once again had excellent drinks, impeccable service, delicious food, and all in a vibrant but comfortable ambience.
