Chirpy restaurant, and...Just arrived from the UK and needed a drink found Gladys and decided to give it a try , so glad I did , cool, laid back atmosphere , food great , staff friendly need I say more . I've never had Caribbean food before as well, and was looking for a decent place to try this, and Gladys was perfect. A quick walk from the Brooklyn Arts Museum and near to the subway...The food is prepped fresh and you can see into the kitchen. I love this spot Loved the ambience, very friendly vibe. The staff is friendly and the drinks make me feel like I was on an island.

Only I can say...And good for cheap eats in a vibrant, neighborhood spot. Give it a try you wont...Horrible customer service! The jerk chicken was excellent as were the rice and peas. Seitan, eggs are the main protein possibilities for vegetarians so the menu felt super limited. I love this spot The staff is super friendly. My first visit was on a Thursday evening. The restaurant has a cool, intimate, tropical vibe. I've never had Caribbean food before as well, and was looking for a decent place to try this, and Gladys was perfect.

This cute “Caribbean meets Brooklyn” restaurant did not disappoint. The jerk chicken was excellent as were the rice and peas. I had nice conversation with sweet bartender. Unfortunately, due to the financial stress of covid-19 & failed negotiations with our landlord we have closed indefinitely.

Refused to close curtains at door so draft wouldn’t cool my food. Get there early for brunch and squeeze in amongst the hungry folk. Give it a try you wont...Horrible customer service!

Never Again!!! Only complaint they were out of plantains but the bok choy was a good replacement. Never Again!!! So, I need to start off by saying I go here regularly and I really enjoy their food! The service is equally great. Tables are long, communal style with comfortable benches. The staff is friendly and the drinks make me feel like I was on an island.
