The story may not be as compelling as the original but still has its strong points with love tie in's and controversy met along the way similar to Gamble and Street in the original. No sooner is he there than a botched hostage negotiation sets deranged stalker Walter Hatch (Robert Patrick) up to have a mad-on for him.

How come when he's training the men, he's a crack shot, who can run full speed and still hit the fly off a dog's back. But Yankee soldiers and Pinkerton are busy helping a railroad baron grab land from farmers along the planned railroad west.

Was this review helpful? SWAT Firefight still holds up to the original if not exceeds its original impact. Ben and Alan, two misfit best friends incapable of growing up, find direction for their lives by taking in an abandoned child and creating the family they've always needed. the realism of the action and more importantly the justification and technical stuff is also well written.

An armed Eastern European fugitive has broken into a chemical research lab and has taken two scientists hostage.

I would be interested to see what this film would have been with double or triple the budget. It may be tough to replace the original cast with a new younger crew but they pull it off beautifully. Was this review helpful?

OK, let me first say that this is my first ever review - I was compelled to write one based on simply how BAD this movie is. I've watched this movie and seen the other reviews, first lets me tell you a little about this movie. Was this review helpful? Meanwhile a SWAT team is emerging on the lab after gaining entrance to the complex. Please don't let those people that rate it 1 star put you off... this is well worth seeing! An imprisoned drug kingpin offers a huge cash reward to anyone that can break him out of police custody, and only the L.A.P.D. SWAT may have been an iffy film when it first came out years ago, but it is undeniably a great action film. A young female college student who can see ghosts joins a team of friends from various age groups and walks of life who use their psychic abilities to investigate cases involving ghosts, demons and other entities from 'the other side.'

's Special Weapons and Tactics team can prevent it. From the first encounter with the enemy, you wonder how things will play out and why they happened the way they did. I suggest you don't see this movie, it's a waste of your time.

Yet after all is said and done the film wraps up with an exemplary scene of heroism and action.

Although the original SWAT may have embellished the realms of reality a little, it was a movie I was still able to watch and enjoy to the most. 9 out of 15 found this helpful. I'm convinced this movie is aimed at kids in the early teens. Detroit PD borrows an LA SWAT leader as instructor for 2 weeks training of their SWAT team.

There are plenty of movies way better than this one.

This movie I will describe like a coin - it has two sides. Some scenes how ever were down right terrible, for instance there is a scene inside a convenience store and a shoot out erupts, the end scene shows them walking off instantly in slow motion to rock music... it just doesn't fit in that scenario.

Terror arrives at the one place we all feel safest in this taut psychological thriller starring Natasha Henstridge. SWAT may have been an iffy film when it first came out years ago, but it is undeniably a great action film. I would be interested in seeing what they think is a 7 or 8 rating for a movie.
