I got almost a little tense after spraying it once and decided to lay down and wait a while, it wasn't sickening just somehow overwhelming at first. I mean it smelled rich, sweet and elegant, yet almost seductively intoxicating. A new immediate "dumb reach" for me. It is well blended and fairly linear but oh so feminine and sensual. First of all, I am a fan of sweet fruity fragrance aka what other people call as a girly frag. Afterwards, the almond and a bit of heliotrope sets in and this is very delightful. It's unique and beautiful. Even though it's 85 degrees out today this is still very wearable in hot sunny weather. Vanilla heaven. At the end it gets a creamy and sweet consistence. And the drydown is unfortunately rather synthetic. This blend of Vanilla, Bay and Heliotrope is delicious. I did a blind swap for this about 7 months ago and thought it had something off that I didn't like so I was disappointed and put it away. I have to children in diapers I want to smell something other then baby powder lol. There's nothing left from the bitterness I experienced before. My first impression was synthetic, thick, heavy syrup, with some sort of "off" note that sticks in the craw. I love when she wears this classy perfume. Le Parfum smells more expensive than it is; it reminds me of similarly styled niche fragrances. I can say that it's very original and that I haven't got anything in my wardrobe that is similar, although I have many sweet fragrances with almond note. This is a well blended aromatic vanilla mixed with bay leaf that adds a very Piquant aroma paired with pink pepper and a resinous creaminess from tonka. When l wear this, a lot of women come close and become very friendly and give great compliments. I have absolutely no idea what in this fragrance is producing the synthetic cherry note, but I just can't get past how much it smells like cough syrup with my chemistry. Much less “classic” than Shalimar, this balmy and balsamic vanilla is warm and delicious, but really needs solidly cold temperatures to shine properly, IMO. Think sweetish pipe tobacco plus La Mome minus the sweet raspberry note but more resinous oriental notes and you're on the right track. It is not gourmand or too sweet. I had a sample of this and absolutely love it everything from the sweetness to the mild powdery smell it reminds me of a sweetened makeup powder NOT baby powder which I would not be a fan of. it could be a good scent paired with a suit in a formal situation. The bottle is a work of art, something I'd adore having on my vanity, but the smell is just slightly spiced vanilla ice cream on me with a cloying synthetic quality that reminds me of a cheap La Rive knock off (of what, I don't remember) that I tried in Poland 10 years ago.
