Womb. It was no longer nirvana, no longer peace, and happiness. Rotten Tomatoes, home of the Tomatometer, is the most trusted measurement of quality for Movies & TV. Was this review helpful? a meditation in skin of parable.

What lets Womb down is its slow-to-the-point-of-complete-tedium pacing (especially in the first half), and finicky way it's stuck together.

it's about a woman who meets her first love at the age of nine, over some desolate seashore, but when she returns to rekindle that romance, as she begins to resurrect that romance, the man dies all of a sudden in a car accident.

May 4, 2012 Pter Szatmri's atmospheric photography of brooding, steely blue skies, bleak deserted beaches and soggy autumn woods is one of the chief virtues in this misbegotten enterprise. The film commences with a pregnant woman telling her unborn child that the father has departed for good, but that together they will start a new life.

its heart - profound loneliness. For those with an open mind, you just might be able to condone the main character's controversial decision.

The explicit bloody surgery – Yikes!

This film is not for everyone, yet even if it disturbs you, it will have moved you to think about one of the strangest and sincerest love stories ever depicted. 24 out of 37 found this helpful.

Too abstract to suggest a coherent moral lesson, but too remote to foster a satisfying emotional connection, Womb feels barren, an attempt to do too much that ultimately does very little.

In "Womb," Rebecca(Eva Green) returns to the island where she spent a summer with her grandfather(Istvan Lenart).

womb is a futuristic mythical tale about first love going awry into the realm of obsessional fixation.

what lies beneath is the most obscene passion which would transcend it all: the possessively devouring love of a woman, accompanied by the all-encompassing sea, a metaphoric representation of omnipresent/omipotent womb.

And perhaps as you're watching the movie you have an idea of what the outcome will be, but the movie engages you to keep watching to see how it all plays out in this unique situation that we're presented with. Womb est un film réalisé par Bence Fliegauf avec Eva Green, Matt Smith (XI). A little boy dragging a long sheet of plastic that he had obviously gotten from the beach right through Eva Green's living room, with her just watching and saying nothing.

You never get to hear them have important conversations about the premise of the movie and who he really is to her.

If you've read the synopsis by now you'd know this film deals with the issues associated with cloning, and finds kindred spirits with films such as Jonathan Glazer's Birth and especially Mark Romanek's Never Let Me Go.

If the 20-odd seconds of blank screen squatting pointlessly amid the opening credits aren't enough warning that you're in for some seriously sluggish storytelling, then the adoption of a snail as one of the central motifs should drive the point home.

And because of how slow and generally uneventful it is, without beautiful shots to keep you interested (most of the movie is very dull and gray), I think that this movie won't hold the attention of most people.
